Food Assistance
The United Way of Pekin is dedicated to addressing food insecurity in our community, a challenge that touches the lives of many. This page serves as a comprehensive resource, spotlighting local food pantries and venues offering hot meals to those in need. Each location listed here is more than just a place to find food; they are havens of hope and community support, ensuring that no one in Pekin has to face hunger alone.
Our list includes a variety of food pantries, each with its unique schedule and resources, aimed at providing nutritious food to families and individuals. Additionally, we feature locations where hot meals are served, offering not just sustenance but also a warm, welcoming environment for all who come through their doors.
We would like to point out that we DO NOT operate a food pantry at our location!
Food insecurity is a critical issue that impacts the health and well-being of our community. By connecting those in need with these vital services, we are taking steps towards a Pekin where hunger is not a barrier to health, happiness, and opportunity. We encourage you to explore these resources, spread the word, and consider how you might support these essential services. Together, we can ensure that every member of our community has access to the nourishment they need.
