Recent advancements in technology and the expansion of healthcare services in the Greater Peoria area have greatly enhanced access to quality healthcare for local residents. The widespread adoption of telehealth services by providers such as OSF HealthCare and Heartland Health Services has revolutionized patient care, making it possible for individuals to receive medical consultations and follow-ups from the comfort of their homes. This technological leap has been particularly crucial during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring continuous and timely medical support while minimizing the need for in-person visits (Peoria Magazine) (Heartland Health Services).

In addition to technological improvements, the expansion of medical services and the continuous pursuit of excellence in healthcare have played a significant role in improving patient outcomes. Pet Peace Program: CFPA offers a pet care program for those in crisis care for up to two years.
CFPA will also assist in the process of seeking orders of protection.
Pekin Mobile Diner provides meals for seniors and disabled individuals in the Pekin area. Meals are prepared by the chef's at Carle Health Pekin and delivered directly to the door. Contact Pekin Mobile Diner for more information at 309-346-7996.

The Tazewell County Resource Centers Sight Center in Morton Illinois provides innovative services for the blind and visually impaired. The center helps patients remain independent and self-sufficient through low vision optometric assessments, mobility services, specialized computer technology, community rehabilitation, optical aids and devices and other support services.
